Bukankah begitu cara kita menghadapi era globalisasi. Di tambah dengan dunia digital, terlalu sempit imajinasi kita untuk menangkap sesuatu. Keadaan yang mungkin membalikkan arah solusi, walaupun luasnya lautan informasi sudah mudah didapatkan. Bukankah itu yang menyebabkan kita takut terhadap transformasi?

Kita benar — benar sudah merasakan bagaimana dunia teknologi sekarang di pertengahan abad ke-21. Setiap tahunnya, menunggu apa langkah selanjutnya dari sebuah inovasi. Mungkin awal dari abad 21 atau akhir abad 20 masih menjadi imajinasi kita untuk menangani masalah di sekitar kita. Sekarang pertanyannya, apakah cerita ini masih berlanjut?

Sekilas tentang cara menemukan ide dalam inovasi, bagaimana prosesnya?. Mulai dari hal — hal kecil di sekitar kita atau passion yang sedang kita nikmati, apakah ada titik yang menyebabkan masalah, mulai dari tidak efektif, tidak membawa pengaruh besar atau menganggu sekitar dan memanipulasi hal tersebut higga menjadi solusi. Sangat sederhana pembawannya hingga menjadi topik bisnis dari kesuksesan ide tersebut.

Kenapa permasalahan transformasi ini baru muncul?

Oke untuk dari inovasi internet lambat menjadi internet cepat, itu transformasi yang tidak bermasalah, . Inovasi sudah lebih dari sekedar cukup dan karena itu banyak orang menyadari kenapa permasalahan transformasi ini baru muncul?, teknologi yang akan menggantikan pekerjaan kita?, kini ilmu mudah didapatkan dari internet sehingga banyak orang genius di luar sana tanpa berpendidikan formal atau semua kini serba instan. Menjelaskan definisi internet sudah sangat luas, apalagi teknologi sendiri. Teknologi terbentuk karena simulasi pikiran kita, misal jika sedang berjalan lambat, apa yang harus kita dapatkan agar menjadi cepat dan itu sudah menjadi pengalaman yang harus diterapkan, karena sebagai manusia kadang tidak merasa puas di sekitarnya.

Jika teknologi adalah bagian kehidupan kita, kenapa kita harus merasa terjepit dengan ‘disruption’ atau era baru dari transformasi.

Jelas ini adalah pemikiran orang bisnis dan mereka bukan pemain sejati, sehingga tidak peduli dengan linkungan sumber daya pekerja mereka, berpikir lebih dengankeluar dari zona nyaman mungkin sudah bukan menjadi prioritas. Itulah kenapa, perusahaan teknologi sekarang semuanya hampir memiliki prinsip yang sama, saling berlomba untuk menjadi yang tercanggih, bukan memprioritaskan pelanggannya.

Aku ingin lebih dalam menyikapinya dan kembali ke pertanyaan atau beberapa dasar. Apakah teknologi kita benar — benar sudah mencukupi aktifitas kita?, sekarang zaman kita bukan lagi tahap belajar dengan teknologi, ini sudah bagian kehidupan kita. Salah satu inovasi yang benar — benar mengubah kehidupan kita adalah komputer, bermula dari menghitung matematika, sekarang menjadi pelengkap segala hal dan meminimalisir menjadi alat komunikasi atau jam pintar. Jadi, tidak ada yang original di sini dan itu pun juga tergantung dengan passion kita. Dengan ini bisa menjelaskan kenapa transformasi itu ada, dorongan di mana inovasi kini menjadi lebih unik. Mungkin unik belum cukup menjelaskannya, tapi unik menjadikannya tidak biasa dan pengalaman baru.

Secara tidak sadar, ini sudah menganggap sebagai transformasi dan pemain lain akan mengikuti langkah keunikan kamu. Pemain lain adalah orang — orang yang benar — benar terpengaruhi oleh transformasi kamu. Kenapa?

Orang yang berbisnis teknologi hanya sekedar berbisnis akan kurang sensitif dengan keadaan dunia bisnis sekarang. Mereka tidak hanya menambahkan hal inovatif, tapi mungkin kreatifitas. Imagine, there is room which have three things of human’s creation. First is book, second is TV and the last is internet. Reflection of these are contents and can influence our mind. But, they’re made in the differences age.


Television is canvas of contents. Then, it’s controlled by every owners of channels and gains their consumers with attraction. What they have to achieve is find the keys of impression. People whose like consuming daily-news or enjoying fun with cartoon, it’s their options. However, the restrictions comes by a weakness of TV, it’s about access.

Our inner feelings to develop big data assets. Never expected to be advanced, actually the vision is just get simplified. How magical in these processes.



Togetherness of data’s objects is bringing the system in doing their systems. Those group whose make it vulnerability just getting the expression of big data. It’s too focused on data learning, algorithm systematics and advanced queries. A common problems in this case just follows a condition growing industry level and sometimes can’t make adaption with it.

A transformation is good. But, realisation of transformation needs to be readable of the contexts. In Enterprise insights, it doesn’t have to innovate in their IT services or not. Everything must be following in one mission. Complexity can be appeared if one categorised layers can’t adapt collaborative from one of their members. That’s why, they have too prepared in the new experience and behaviour’s change. Platform is just a foundation.

Completely unbalanced when experience is taking off from it. And also ambiguous. Companies have realised in these situations. I’m really interesting with the transformation for business insights. Indeed, this field is categorised with complexity. When i see the design have more ability in experience simulated. That’s why, it could be possible when design is going to participated in this research.



In the business’s environment, their story is unexpectedly change from one scenario to another scenarios. It can be good or bad. Business’s environment to see the explanation of their culture is more sensitivity in their failure than success. Because, their experience for facing the process is unforgettable that actually can be various reasons in their execution. Precisely, the management of IT services can also affect them. Never mind, it’s technological aspect discussion or not. Our digital experience now is more comfortable for the next transformation today. Beginning with this realisation, we try to see the background’s problem firstly.

  1. Their service sometimes can be failure’s reason. Most of all, that can be mysterious’s problem.
  2. They’re holding the updatable technology in this digital era, because they can’t adapt quickly. That’s why we need the new thinking to consume technology smartly.
  3. Take actions like risk is getting out from your comfort zone. This is how we do playing of business.


Then, our vision when i analysis in this background. I’ve did some of purposes to take deeply from my imagination for the next generation and born the new idea and more basics fundamental to see, how the steps of designer is taking approach?


I’ve come with question ‘Why Enterprise Need Design?’, so many answers out there to get first experience. For me, I wanna make enterprise is trusted with simplicity and enjoyable. Even it’s mate to get this intersection. So i put the design circle in the centre of foundation in enterprise and many components from IT services is following. Then, i make my own theory how visual thinking is taking this disease’s enterprise and migrate for their healing.

  1. Problem and Visual Thinking would get more outlook in the parent of problems that slowly is following their child
  2. Then, Visual Thinking is moving to solution methods to manipulate the culture what they made it in perspective’s problem need.

This is enough for our innovation process basically.


More visual in ‘The Process Of Innovation’ is bringing the following path how visual thinking is integrated in this formula. I hope, we could take it more detail. Because, it’s just the general.


Then, i’ve made a three steps for the merged between ‘problem’ method and ‘visual thinking’ method. First, ‘Analysis’. Second, ‘Experience’ and lastly, ‘Integration’. I wanna take a explanation in analysis method. This is how we’re starting to adapt the problems. Got the best chance to see their problem is try to simulate the ecosystem.


When we’ve touched their culture. Problem can be heard everywhere. In analysis method is the difficult one actually. I’ve mentioned playing in the simulation in their culture is another sub-process. In the fear of transformations, some company may feel what they have a risk imaginatively. So designers must get the negotiation friendly and don’t be too serious for these explanations. Try with asking some questions, mostly design thinkers recommended with ‘why’, it would connected what’s their integration need.


This is how we developed the analytics. We have their priority to answer their real questions. Now the next structured, We have to scaled with business’s solution process. Integration would fill in there. Secondly, this is ‘experience’. This method would show how design thinker works. Unpredictable, what you think.

But, it’s too general in their fundamental, we need more advanced for enterprise experience. So, i modified them with business’s perspective.


We have the Enterprise-Centered Design. We would look more detailed. First of all, Framework is your new canvas to see how their adaptation tool or find the best matched of your foundation before you feel it. Then, i mentioned the simulation of culture in matter, somehow this framework need to be working on motive scenario. This is place how we manipulated the culture. And, it’s not inconsistent for every spot in framework or relative, because there are process to wait their new experience.


Then, Elements. This is your tools to fill the objects or layer in the framework, there are many options. Follow what you need, don’t too much. It’s not good, can’t be getting impact of simplicity.

In our perspective today is about business intelligence with the ability of visual thinking, when i decided to what comes first in this journey. I got the basics from circle and explore consistently. When i’ve got played it, i have crafted in many possibility ways. In one space, circle could do anything what their functions to be, although it’s too universal. That’s why our respective for the shape especially circle need to see the meanings in every side. Oh yes, circle never have side and it’s too perfect. I’ve developed indirect in ambiguous one. But precisely, circle is openable shape. Two roles that matched in BI (Business Intelligence). Firstly, we need talk their identification and compare them with data.


First, it’s freedom. Circle have every control in their around. That’s why circle can take every contexts for the new interactions. Like in this featured image today. Now, we need take his benefits from it and try to control what conditions should be. However, there are critiques for circle. Their movement looks like want to be dominant and perpetual, it can be the reasons circle is the shape of inconsistent. Different with rectangle, it moves in their head ways. Our services with data may have the reflection from freedom of circle, although it’s so many properties metadata, their object is manufactured consistently. Data is moving when calculation is executed. The basics from circle’s object is more advanced when data got this reality.

We have the theory how basic the circle in the beneficial of data. The experience of data is complex when we don’t know what kind of vision in our business plan. So, in the comparable between circle and data is just their perfection what we need. When circle doesn’t be consistent but data have the mission to get relationship completely. We could imagine more just play with their positions of freedom circle to craft the process’s story. Now, i’m going to combine from group-to-group or follow-to-follow can shape many experience. Like inconsistent decisions noticed with error logs. We need dominant agreement to see this predictive completed. Because every circle have the many differences properties in their business’s field after many identification. Then, in this case is about collaborative between different fields, like from marketing team and sales team to combine their results of group-to-group to make a new data again. Don’t judge how bad or success their data results, because it depends on the experience of business’s execution.

When green’s circle is taking the group that have leaders between red and blue colours, data or this circle wouldn’t make a new formations that doesn’t have more advanced principal in in their results, they would be circle that doesn’t have vision. When in the follow-to-follow circle have dominant colours like more in red’s circles, we would say this group is red circles group, although they have blue circle members.

So, in here, circle with blacked one just adapted with arrangement of circles to see the visibility and influencing them with this circle’s plan, be another black. Data must have the ability like that from this basics form of circle, today profiling data is just beginning with customer relationships. So, this is the background. The big question is ‘Can Smart City affect the users like playground affect their children?’. You know, it’s more simple than the process of playground before. Because users have experienced what they have learned in around them. So, their objects depend on them must reboot with more innovation and attraction elements. When children try to learn, in differently, the users try to simplify the solution. So, when i compared to each others, it’s more understandable. Why?, because users would get out from their zone that discomfort after realised it. It’s time for designer, innovator or entrepreneur chance to be hero.

Then, how we got the deep inside the process. This process generally how we innovate something, but their judgement to become commercial is more readable in the adaption of Smart City.


First step is Problem to Solution, then Explore — Adaptation and Judgement.

Problem : Where there are crowds that’s rising the voice hardly. That’s problem comes from. We could begin the first method of the process, with analysis the problem. Civil realize that there are another ways to simplify it.

Solution : After we have conclusion in the problem’s situation. It’s time to review and invent it. Don’t be ego first. Because the next step is integration with citizens. Smart City inventor never forget to add elements of innovative and attractive, it depends with your sector.

Explore : In the playground activity, children needs to learn first. In civilisation, users are exploring first, they need to know the feature and services what we give. When innovator analysis the problem and give answer with the solution, Users analysis the solution and give the conclusion.

Adaptation : This is the conclusion where users give the answer indirectly. You need to know what users give feedback or critical within the time and their consistency.

Judgement : It’s time to judge your efficient. There are potential between success and failure. Even it’s automation or users use it for their services, users can influenced easily and it would be disruptive.


The Development of Smart City just to know what kind of potential that users gave. The born of problem to give their potential is coming from to know each other. Our culture for daily activity doesn’t comes from influencers or expert. It’s a crowd that give their voice. This is the potential. You can’t say our culture doesn’t get beyond enough, because the people still enjoy what they matters.


Now, it’s time for market zone. This isn’t about find the chance of success. This is the time to find the needy of crowd. It depends on their passion. In the playground, children is a bit of confused what should they’re playing. In their reflect, they chose one of the most crowding playing. Same with Smart City, this development must know the keys of attractive, it’s not enough with just innovation. The keys is really simple, just follow your passion, what are you facing the problem today in your moments. Your study or field could see more approachable effective to make a solution, they’ve experienced with it.


In this graphic data are the potential indicator of Smart City from my opinion to visual. There are two different sectors for Smart City, it’s about business management, enterprise in private sector, then service or culture in public sector.


Now, let’s talk about the potential of public sector first. In the process of Smart City activity, innovators are the key of strategist and manipulator. They’re manage the time and build every steps for their solution. The resident and population of Smart City is the subjects in the strategy of innovator. Players must follow the process in step-by-step to get solution is run. Let’s take a look the MRT of Singapore, their resident is like playing game, which following every steps to get their services to reach their destination and the automation platform just coach people to how their cycle is managed simplified and people could enjoy it everyday consistently, without face the issue personally.

Innovate in Smart City, your platform must like tutor with ask the question first. ‘How we people enjoy with our solution?’, if there are the problem in one of those steps of platform. People can’t finish your solution process and leave it immediately. Ya, this is the failure of solution. People wouldn’t care about it anymore, even it’s smart idea. People even back to the past process. Let’s say you put the computer in the around of city for people to get efficient information, mostly i may say, they’re just first impression users. This is their judgement to get truly to define the solution why computer is matter in here. So in public sector, you must truly get to listen what’s resident talking about in their situation, and put your solution in there.

Second, Private Sector is less sensitive with their problem after they response the issue. They focus on the result and time management, then their habit sometimes hide the problem to achieve what they want in their plan. Because, they do their daily activity with just convention. So, to innovate in Enterprise must take a lot of time to manipulate their culture job. However, one of their management subject may be visionary. Sometimes, if the company have succeed. It’s their time to find the efficient for their platform. They may need intelligence for their analytical data or noticeable system in integration of every team. The problem of company unexpectedly always appears, in their plan or customers issue.

With their surprised problem, sometimes their platform could be their performer. Their technologies couldn’t face the problem or be unknown with the issue. This is the switch button for their management to get efficient in their platform. Especially for this field, Environment architecture must sensitive with Smart City, they’re underground platform that affect in every single object of City. I would say Environment (Electricity, Water System and etc.) are the balance between public and private sector. Their process in private sector and the results in the public sector.

Let’s back to playground again, there is thing with name Seesaw. As one goes up, the other goes down. It’s constantly get movement like that and very little possibility to get balance. It’s action that we just adapt it and accidentally bring our effect of power to them. Seesaw is the next generation platform process that’s tastefully for Smart City field. It’s automation and intelligence method. When Players of Seesaw give the power to be dominant than another players. One of the platforms in every category must know the condition of their users and what affects for them. Thanks for Big Data, it’s intersect to each others. Directly, Users need to react for them after their platform give the react first. Every each other must get advantage in the result of process. The platform give their information, users must feel they have got the information they need.
